Today, it is one of the finest institutions, catering to the academic needs of about 87,000 students in four campuses-Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal (MP) and Amaravati (AP). VIT is a thriving, multi-cultural institution with students from all the states of India and from 67 countries. The institution offers graduate, post-graduate and research degrees in engineering, management studies, law, sciences and humanities. VIT has been ranked the 8th best university, the 11th best in research and the 11th best engineering institution of India in the 2023 NIRF Ranking, published by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.
